PM Pervaiz Ashraf calls meeting on energy crisis
Newly-appointed Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf taking notice of the ongoing power crisis nationwide has called a high level energy meeting on Saturday.
Ashraf is currently fighting a corruption case in Rental Power Projects from his tenure (March 2008 – February 2011) as water and power minister and he has also been blamed for much of the government`s inability to resolve a disastrous energy crisis.
Earlier today, a ceremony was held at the Prime Minister house in Islamabad today to accord formal welcome to the newly elected Prime Minister.
A smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented guard of honor to the Prime Minister. National anthem was also played on the occasion.
Later‚ he was introduced to the staff members of the Prime Minister House.
The doors of Prime Minister House will be opened for public on Saturday at 5 p.m and people from all walks of life will be able to meet the Prime Minister.
