Pakistan's crippling energy crisis

Large parts of Pakistan have been affected by power blackouts due to an electricity crisis. This has led to a shortage of more than 7,000 megawatts – this is almost 40 per cent of the total demand. The outages have almost crippled normal everyday life for many people and particularly hit industrial and agricultural production.
