US, Pakistan making progress on supply route: Obama
President Barack Obama said Monday that the United States and Pakistan were making ‘diligent progress’ on reopening a vital NATO supply line into Afghanistan, shut down for six months by Islamabad. “We didn’t anticipate that the supply line issue was going to be resolved by this summit. We knew that before we arrived in Chicago,” Obama told reporters about an issue which has dominated a key NATO summit. “But we are actually making diligent progress on it,” he added.
